What it means to plan

To plan means you have to think about and discuss topics we are not necessarily comfortable talking about.

Financial planning is more than “how much money you will need to live through retirement.”
You have to ask yourself some difficult questions, look at what you’ve done and consider what you and your family will need in the future.

You have to figure out distribution of assets and implications, family trusts, etc. You have to think about mortality – yours and that of those closest to you. No one wants to address these issues but it is something we all need to do.

How much have you saved or not saved? If you haven’t done enough do you still have time to correct the problem?
